Zenit have secured a 2-0 victory over Zenit Saint Petersburg on Sunday at the Moscow Stadium.
In the first leg, Zenit were the favourites to win 1-0 thanks to a goal from Andrey Borislavsky.
The Russian side dominated the first half but could not create any clear-cut chances in the second.
However, a penalty kick by Stefan Ceballos saved the day for the hosts, and they sealed the win with a second goal in just over an hour.
The victory moves Zenit to within one point of third-placed Juve and makes Zenit the first side to secure a draw in the last 16 of the Champions League.
