Tennessee is poised to make history on Saturday night when Tennessee State takes on Arkansas at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
Tennessee State football head coach Steve Spurrier is set to lead his team to a fourth consecutive win.
The Titans defeated No. 2 Arkansas by a score of 24-10 in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
The game will be the fourth of five SEC games on Saturday that will take place at AT&T Stadium.
Tennessee State is the only SEC team with at least four games on ESPN on Saturday, joining LSU, Mississippi State, and Alabama.
Tennessee is the fourth-ranked team in the nation heading into the game and is also the No. 7 seed in the upcoming SEC East race.
Tennessean football coach Steve Underwood will be in charge of the Titans for the first time since he was fired by Arkansas in the spring of 2017.
Underwood took over for Bill Clark after his team was swept by Auburn in the SEC Championship game in 2019.
He led the Titans to a 14-2 record under Clark and a 9-4 record overall.
The last time Tennessee State was a top-10 team in SEC West was in 2013.
